Adult Scavenger Hunt

Sure Scavenger Hunts have always been played and participated by kids, but it doesn’t mean that adults can’t share in the fun. Adult Scavenger Hunt is a fun and creative way of expressing your love to your special someone. A series of clues is needed in order to do this hunt. Of which the first one is the most important. Well, for one you don’t want the one you prepared the hunt for to misinterpret or overlook the sign that they are in fact on a Scavenger Hunt.

 

The first clue should instantly tell them about your purpose, that you want them to pursue the clues until the last one. The most important thing is, you should leave the clue in a place where they are sure to see it. And the clue should be obvious that they may not accidentally throw it away because of its discreetness.

 

For a more exciting and fun Scavenger Hunt, have them do things before reading the next clue or before proceeding with the course. You can have them change clothes say, into formal attire if the final destination is a dinner date, or even less of what they are already wearing, depending of course on your planned conclusion.

 

Don’t forget to set the mood. A soft music playing in the background, or their favorite rock and roll tune would surely make the Scavenger Hunt worth doing. Of course that’s if your location is indoors. But you can always extend your venue and make them search further, which is more exciting. Only you have to make sure your clues are safely hidden and inaccessible from other people outside of the Scavenger Hunt. Scavenger Hunt vs Treasure Hunt

This question is asked a lot and normally I get yelled at when I answer it because I believe there is no major difference between the two. One will have people collect things along the way and the other they will mark or record something about the clue along the way. Thats my definition and I am sticking to it :-) .

Does anyone have any good scavenger hunt ideas?

My friends and I are doing a scavenger hunt around our neighbor hood, does anyone know any good ideas to embarrass ourselves?

I’m not exactly sure what kind of scavenger hunt you are looking into doing. If you are looking into doing a point system where you complete a certain task for a certain amount of points then I might be able to help. Well depending upon how far you are willing to go.

I suggest all tasks are completed as a group OR video taping them so you have prove of the task.

 

 

    • Have a shopping cart race in a store parking lot..
    • Make up with a stranger
    • ask a stranger for their phone number
    • get a stranger to flip you off
    • have a sword fight in a department store ( fake swords please)
    • jump in a body of water with your clothes on.

Just some ideas. Think outside the box its fun that way!

Playing the Internet Scavenger Hunt

An internet scavenger hunt  just like any other scavenger hunt, except that it involves the use of computers and, of course, the internet. First, you need a list of things your scavenger hunters will look for. Using the computer, they will need to complete these things. The fastest to do so wins.

The best thing about the internet scavenger hunt is that it can be played remotely by different players. You can even play this game with another person from a different country since internet makes it possible for one person to connect to people from all over. You can communicate through email, chat or calling each other’s computer.

A game master or mediator may be needed in order to fairly decide who wins. The list could be sent by the mediator to the players’ emails and then they could begin. And when they are done looking, the list can be sent back to the mediator’s email.

Since there are numerous free services over the web, many of these can be useful tools for your internet scavenger hunt. For example, when the players are done looking, they can post their answers to a blog account that they all have access to. The time of posting and of course the answers are the basis for determining the winner.

There are numerous ways of doing this type of scavenger hunt. You simply need computers with internet connection and you are ready to play.

Your friend is getting married and you have no clue as to what type of fun activity you can do on her bachelorette party. A bachelorette scavenger hunt could be just what you need.

Scavenger Hunts Ideas for Adults

Scavenger hunts are not exclusively for kids. There is a so called adult scavenger hunt that can be played by couples, middle-aged people and even players who feel too mature to play kid scavenger hunts regardless of their age. This scavenger hunt uses the same concept as any scavenger hunt, only an adult scavenger hunt caters to more mature players, in age or experience.

The scavenger hunt couples play is considered an adult scavenger hunt. Either of the couple can initiate the game by leaving a clue, the first of a series, in a place where the other can easily find it. Without personally informing the intended player, they must be able to easily get the idea and follow the trail depending on what is written on the first clue. Another way of playing an adult scavenger hunt is by making the list harder than what kids usually complete in a scavenger hunt. Modify the list by involving harder stuff. Acting Out the Photo Scavenger Hunt Idea

A different way of playing a photo scavenger hunt is by listing a set of acting tasks. Instead of taking pictures of objects you can have your hunters act out everything that is written in the list and take a picture of it with their cameras.

Movie scenes are a good example. You can use famous lines from movies and have the players act them out using their own interpretation. One for example is a line from the movie Spiderman: “With great power comes great responsibility”. You will surely have several different interpretations of this particular movie line at the end of the photo scavenger hunt.

To have more options and to be more fun, this photo scavenger hunt is best done in groups of three to six. As for the interpretation, anything goes. Since the goal of the photo scavenger hunt is for the players to have fun, they can fool around while doing the acting, just as long as they are still interpreting the lines.

A time limit should be set for completing the list. When the time runs out, the teams will have to meet and turn up their photos which could be printed out or viewed directly from the digital camera LCD. Winners will then be determined. Special acting awards should also be given to outstanding or amusing poses.

Snapshots – A Scavenger Hunt Idea List

Participants of this scavenger hunt should be in groups of three.

It is better if the group members are of both genders.

Please avoid a group where the members are all Males or Females.

There is no limit to where participants wish to accomplish the tasks.

Members should take turns in accomplishing the tasks.

And since this is a photo scavenger hunt, a digital camera is necessary for each group.

 

Now, for the task,

Take a picture of the following:

1. A member of your group helping a stranger cross the street

2. A member of your group being pushed in a wheel chair by a stranger

3. A member of your group posing beside a barista

4. A member of your group wearing a stranger’s shirt with the stranger shirtless beside him

5. A member of your group walking a stranger’s dog

6. A member of your group kissing a stranger’s hand

7. A member of your group posing beside a poster/tarp/advertisement of a celebrity

8. A member of your group carrying someone’s baby

9. A member of your group sitting on the lap of an old man

10. A member of your group combing a stranger’s hair

Bachelorette Scavenger Hunts should be clean, but fun

A Bachelorette Scavenger Party is traditionally thrown by the friends of the bride-to-be. Traditionally this is when she celebrates her last moments of “freedom”, doing all the fun stuff a single woman could do with her friends. Nevertheless, friends should not take advantage of this time and make her do unpleasant or offensive tasks through a bachelorette scavenger hunt.

A common mistake is that since it would be her last time to be a bachelorette, it’d be all right to take freedom into great heights. But it’s not.

People shouldn’t think that Bachelorette Parties are only fun when raunchy activities are involved. Those who think that aren’t creative enough. There are way more fun activities out there that don’t involve any offensive things, and that are acceptable to all.

Also keep in mind that the bride-to-be is already committed and that no amount of adulterous behavior is acceptable even if it was done during the night of the Bachelorette Party.
