Make your next party a little less boring than before by throwing a Scavenger Hunt Party. Now you will be the talk of the town because your guests won’t soon forget all the fun memories they had at your celebration. First, you have to decide on a theme. An example is the Pirates Theme.
You should start by making invitations that have the theme design. A cool idea would be a message in a bottle. Place your note in a small bottle, put some sand in it, cover it with cork. The recipient’s name should be on a tag hanging by the bottle’s neck. Design the bottle with skull marks or anything that will make it look the theme.
Have your guests come in Pirate costumes, or better yet create simple costumes for them to wear. It could be pirate hats, printed with a skull and crossbone design, a hanky around their head, or black eyepatches and a hook in place of the hand.
Give them a list of things to look for; objects you hid in different loactions. Point them to the items by giving them a map of the locations. An old cloth map, the one you see in pirate movies would be cool. And since they are pirates, make the objects in keeping with the theme, items that would normally be associated with pirates.
Here are a few examples:
skull, treasure chest, pirate flag, anchor, ropes, goldbars, jewels(fake or course), pearls, paddle, captain’s hook, guns, swords, parrot and gold coins.
It is up to you to set the rules or modify anything to your liking. The finish line should be the party itself where you could eat and talk about the fun time you had during the hunt.
I never in a million years would have considered at things in that light. This is going to make my life much easier.
